The CityPASS® Brand

Who We Are

Founded in 1997 by two friends, Mike Gallagher and Mike Morey, City Pass Inc. was the first company to offer bundled, discounted admission to attractions in N. America. Still a small, family-owned company with roughly 50 employees, City Pass Inc. is based in the mountain town of Victor, Idaho.

What we do

For over 25 years, millions of travelers from around the world have enjoyed using CityPASS® tickets. Our tickets offer savings of up to 50% on admission to the most famous attractions in 17 of the most-visited destinations in North America.

With one simple purchase, CityPASS tickets provide travelers an easy way to visit multiple attractions at a significant savings and see the best a city has to offer—without a lot of work.

Our mission is to remove the stress of planning and researching all the possible things to do on vacation by providing a simple and affordable way to see multiple attractions. We aim to make the entire process as convenient and easy as possible.

Why Travelers Choose CityPASS®

We’ve carefully chosen the most popular attractions in each destination. With a variety of attraction types, there’s something for everyone, whether traveling solo or with friends or family. Observatories are a fan-favorite for getting a birds-eye view of these spectacular cities; museums offer educational and inspiring opportunities to learn about science, art, music, history, and more; theme parks delight visitors of every age; zoos and aquariums introduce different species of animals and inspire conservation; and sightseeing cruises offer a relaxing, enjoyable way to see cities from the water.

Trademark Guidelines

“CityPASS®” is a proprietary mark coined by City Pass, Inc., in 1997. There is no such thing/product as a generic “city pass.” “CityPASS®” and “CITY PASS®” are federally registered trademarks and service marks owned by City Pass, Inc., as are My CityPASS®, C3®, C4®, C5® and C-All®.

Use our stylized mark: “CityPASS®.”

The stylized version of the mark should be used to promote our products. It is one word spelled with a capital “C” and all capital letters on “PASS” (i.e., CityPASS®). The registered trademark symbol (®) should follow the trademarked term “CityPASS” in superscript each time the term appears or, at a minimum, upon the trademarked term’s first or most distinctive appearance — even when accompanied by our logo.
✔︎ Correct: CityPASS® tickets
❌ Not correct: CityPass, city pass, city passes

Use a noun or verb after the trademarks.

When referring to CityPASS® products, “CityPASS®” should be used as an adjective, never as a noun or verb. The noun or verb should not be capitalized.
✔︎ Correct: Present your CityPAS
S® ticket at the entrance.
❌ Not correct: Present your CityPASS® at the entrance.

Do not pluralize the trademarks.

When referring to CityPASS® products in the plural form, pluralize the noun that follows the trademark.
✔︎ Correct: Enjoy CityPASS® tickets.
❌ Not correct: Enjoy CityPASSes.

Do not make the trademarks possessive.

Because trademarks are not nouns, you should not use them in the possessive form. Instead, make the noun possessive.
✔︎ Correct: A CityPASS® ticket’s validity period
❌ Not correct: CityPASS’s validity period

Footnote materials that use the trademarks.

When possible, add a footnote to materials that use the trademarks:
© 2023 City Pass, Inc. All rights reserved. CityPASS® and CITY PASS® are registered trademarks of City Pass, Inc.

One-Color Logo

Black logos, as well as reverse (white) logos, are provided for one-color print and other special case applications. Exterior and interior building signage may use metallic colors and materials.

Product Logos

Each product has its own specific logo. There are two configurations of each logo, vertical and horizontal. The horizontal composition should only be used when the readability of the vertical logo might be affected.

Brand Colors

The CityPASS® primary color palette is comprised of red, black, and white. Shades of black make up the secondary palette. It can be used in type, backgrounds, textures, and icons. Use only these specific colors in all branded executions.

Primary Typeface

Proxima Nova is a strong, clean, versatile sans serif font that works well in both print and digital applications. It should be used in all executions, except when this document states otherwise.
